Treasure’s is a unique store selling discounted groceries alongside furniture, clothing and other retail items made available from closeouts and donations. The business is owned by a nonprofit organization that donates all of its proceeds to local charities, beginning with Water Street Rescue Mission, whose job-training program is also a source for employees.
How can your group help:
Volunteer needs
Sorting Product
Days and hours needed (min 4 hour shifts); 4 volunteers per shift
Monday to Thursday 9AM to 2PM
Tasks include: Sorting product (clothes, shoes, toys, household goods, etc., Tagging items, Checking costs of items online
Retail
Days and hours needed (min 2 hour shifts); 2 – 3 volunteers per shift
Tasks include: Merchandising product Monday to Saturday 4PM to 7PM, Stocking shelves Monday to Saturday 10AM to 3 PM, We may have needs for a greeter, cashier, baggers as well.
Processing inbound loads
Days and hours needed (min 2 hour shifts); 2 volunteers per shift
Monday to Saturday 8AM to 12PM, 12PM to 4PM, 4PM to 8PM
Tasks include: Could include heavy lifting of up to 50lbs, Verifying product received against paperwork, Check items against POS system, Tagging items, Breaking down pallets, Testing electronics, Assembling items, Ensuring all parts are included, Researching costs
